SEASON 41 PROFILE

Sun

FighterEXP LaneJungle

Simian God reduces physical defence, while Sun multiplies his attacks through Doppelgangers created by his skills and Clone Techniques. The clones confuse, push and shred targets, but they can also donate gold when left attacking without purpose.

IN THE GAME SINCE
December 2016
  1. 01EARLY GAME

Use Endless Variety to reach the wave from range and let the clone absorb part of the trade before committing the real Sun.

  2. 02MID GAME

Swift Exchange changes position and creates another clone; use it to avoid the decisive skill, not merely to add one more body.

  3. 03LATE GAME

Late in the game, force the enemy to answer a side lane. Clone Techniques and Simian God's defence reduction can remove a turret while everyone else contests Lord.

  1. HOW IT WORKS

Enemies hit by Sun and his Doppelgangers will have their Physical Defense reduced by 5% (stacks up to 6 times). Sun recovers HP equal to 75 plus 25% of the Doppelganger's Physical Attack each time a Doppelganger deals damage. Sun and his Doppelgangers' Basic Attacks deal 50 extra damage to Creeps.

  2. HOW IT WORKS

Sun hurls his Golden Staff in the target direction, dealing 200–400 Physical Damage to enemies in its path. Upon hitting an enemy hero or Creep, or reaching the maximum range, the Golden Staff morphs into a Doppelganger that lasts 5 seconds and inherits 40%–55% of Sun's attributes (and a portion of his Attack Effects). Endless Variety and Swift Exchange are learned and upgraded together and share the same cooldown.

  3. HOW IT WORKS

Sun hurls his Golden Staff in the target direction, dealing 200–400 Physical Damage to enemies in its path. He conjures a Doppelganger at his location that lasts 5 seconds and inherits 40%–55% of his attributes (and a portion of Attack Effects). Meanwhile, Sun conceals himself, and moves with the Golden Staff.

  4. HOW IT WORKS

Sun commands his Doppelgangers to strike at the target enemy with him, dealing 270–320 Physical Damage and slowing target and enemies behind them by 20% (can be stacked) for 1.5 seconds. This counts as Basic Attack damage and can trigger Attack Effects but cannot Crit.

  5. HOW IT WORKS

Sun summons a Doppelganger that lasts 8 seconds and inherits 70%–100% of his attributes and a portion of his Attack Effects. The Doppelganger takes increased damage.

Sun is being removed from a large share of drafts. The ban rate matters as much as the win rate here: plenty of players do not want to face the pick at all.

QUICK ANSWERS

The questions players ask about Sun

01What is the best lane for Sun?+

Sun is currently played mainly in EXP Lane and Jungle. The guide separates the recommended builds by lane or job, so choose that tab before copying the six items.

02Which Sun build should I use?+

Start with «EXP Lane Default». The other options, «Jungle Tempo» and «Anti-Tank Frontline», are there for a different lane or match-up; they are not cosmetic variations.

03Which heroes counter Sun?+

Aldous, Alucard and Ruby are the first counters to consider. Alucard and Ruby use the extra bodies to heal or chain area skills.

04Which Sun skins can be obtained now?+

3 skins are marked as obtainable right now. 4 more are kept in the vault with the event or shop where each one originally appeared.
