SEASON 41 PROFILE

Bloody Beast

Balmond

FighterJungleEXP Lane

Bloodthirst keeps Balmond healthy through a fight, while Cyclone Sweep deals damage without forcing him to stand still. Lethal Counter scales with missing health, so his best fights are the ones he can extend until the target enters execution range.

Jungle / EXP Lane
IN THE GAME SINCE
2016
  1. 01EARLY GAME

In the jungle, use Cyclone Sweep for a fast clear; in EXP Lane, let it hit both the wave and the opposing laner without giving up position.

  2. 02MID GAME

Soul Lock closes distance or gets Balmond out of danger. Spending it at the start for no reason leaves him walking after more mobile heroes.

  3. 03LATE GAME

Around Lord, hold Lethal Counter for the monster or an injured enemy. Its execution damage can decide either objective.

  1. HOW IT WORKS

Balmond recovers 5% Max HP after killing a Minion or Creep, and 20% Max HP after killing a hero.

  2. HOW IT WORKS

Balmond charges to the target direction for a set distance or until he hits an enemy hero, dealing 150–275 Physical Damage to enemies along the way. The enemy hero hit will be knocked back slightly, and will have their Movement Speed reduced by 40% and Physical Defense reduced by 40% for 3 seconds.

  3. HOW IT WORKS

Balmond gains 15% Movement Speed that decays over time and spins his axe for 3 seconds, dealing 25–100 Physical Damage per hit to nearby enemies up to 14 times. Each subsequent hit on the same enemy will deal 8.5% increased damage (up to 68%). The Physical Attack bonus portion of the damage can Crit.

  4. HOW IT WORKS

Balmond unleashes a huge strike in the target direction (this skill can only be interrupted by Suppression), dealing 150 True Damage. This skill only deals up to 1000–2000 damage to non-hero units.

Balmond is struggling to convert games in this rank. That does not erase good matchups, but blind-picking the hero is difficult to justify right now.
