SEASON 42 PROFILE
Cyan FinchLing moves across walls with Finch Poise and drops onto the back line through Defiant Sword or Tempest of Blades. That freedom creates fights other assassins cannot reach, but it also demands careful energy management and knowing who can root, knock up or suppress him once he drops.

HOW TO PLAY
Complete the clear and use walls to inspect lanes before dropping. A visit that earns no kill or battle spell costs energy and leaves the jungle exposed.
Around Turtle, keep Tempest of Blades to avoid the decisive control effect or reset position, not merely to add damage to the tank.
In late fights, enter after Natalia uses Smoke Bomb, Saber spends Triple Sweep or Cyclops casts Star Power Lockdown. Collect the ultimate's blades if the fight continues, then return to a wall before energy runs out.

Ling's superb Lightness Skill helps him leap between walls. While resting on a wall, he gains 4 Lightness Points per second and 5 extra Lightness Points each time he deals damage. Ling gains 1.6 times the Crit Chance from all sources but only has 140% Critical Damage.
Passive: Ling’s Critical Chance is permanently increased by 2.5%–12.5%. Active: Ling casts his Lightness Skill, leaping onto the designated wall, entering half-stealth state, restoring Lightness Points more quickly and gaining 30% Movement Speed. If Ling receives damage, he will leave the half-stealth state. If he is controlled, he will fall onto the ground and be slowed by 30% for 2 seconds. When using this skill to jump from a wall to another, it will reset the Cooldown and refresh the half-stealth state.
Ling charges in a designated direction and stabs nearby enemies at his destination, dealing 300–400 Physical Damage. When cast from a wall, he dashes to the target location on the ground, deals 300–400 Physical Damage in a small area and slows enemies by 30% for 1.5 seconds. If the attack lands a Critical Hit, the slow gains an extra 45% for 0.75 seconds. Defiant Sword counts as a Basic Attack and can trigger Attack Effects.
Ling leaps into the air, becomes invincible, and gains 10% Movement Speed for 1.5 seconds. He can move freely before landing, dealing 250–450 Physical Damage, knocking enemies at the centre airborne for 1 second, and slowing all enemies hit by 40% for 1.5 seconds. The landing creates an 8-second Sword Field with four swords at its edge. Collecting one reduces Finch Poise's cooldown by 4 seconds, resets Defiant Sword, and restores 25 Lightness.

QUICK ANSWERS
Ling is currently played mainly in Jungle. The guide separates the recommended builds by lane or job, so choose that tab before copying the six items.
Start with «Jungle Crit Reset Default». The other options, «Snowball Execute» and «Anti-Armor Objective», are there for a different lane or match-up; they are not cosmetic variations.
Natalia, Saber and Karina are the first counters to consider. Natalia can reveal the approach, while Saber needs very little time to lock Ling down once he touches the ground.
2 non-default skins have confirmed availability at this review. 6 more are limited or upcoming, with the original acquisition method recorded. Check the current event or shop in your client before spending.
