SEASON 42 PROFILE
Soul BinderFaramis crosses terrain with Shadow Stampede, pulls enemies with him and gives the whole team another chance through Nether Realm. The ultimate cannot fix a bad fight by itself, but it does force opponents to spend damage and time before securing real kills.

HOW TO PLAY
Generate fragments through Vicious Retrieval and use Shadow Stampede to check routes, not to cross alone into five enemies. From mid lane, clear the wave before disappearing from the map.
Reach Turtle with Nether Realm ready and place it where teammates can continue dealing damage. Casting it too far back may save lives while still conceding the objective.
Around Lord or the base, wait for opponents to commit major damage ultimates. Casting too late saves nobody; casting too early lets the enemy simply disengage.

Every 4 seconds, Faramis's next skill that hits an enemy hero or summoned unit creates a soul fragment. Absorbing it restores HP and grants 2 Magic Power, up to 40 stacks. When Faramis dies, each stored fragment reduces his respawn timer by 3%, up to 90%. Enemies that die nearby can also drop fragments.
Faramis enters the Shadow state for 3 seconds, gaining 70% extra Movement Speed, 25 extra Physical and Magic Defense, 20% cooldown reduction for this skill, and the ability to move through terrain. Enemy heroes who touch Faramis in this state take 250–400 Magic Damage and receive a Nether Mark. When Faramis leaves the Shadow state, he drags all marked enemy heroes toward him and deals 250–400 Magic Damage. Recast to leave the Shadow state early and pull marked enemies immediately. The range at which Faramis can absorb soul fragments is increased while this skill is active.
Faramis releases Nether energy in a fan-shaped area, dealing 330–480 Magic Damage. The energy then splits and bounces to nearby enemies for 200–300 Magic Damage; it can split twice after hitting a hero and once after hitting another unit.
Faramis turns the surrounding area into the Nether Realm for 6 seconds. Allied heroes inside, including Faramis, enter Specter state, gain 400–800 HP plus 10% extra HP, and receive 50% Movement Speed for 1 second. When Specter ends, the hero clears all debuffs and briefly enters a Resurrection state. Leaving the Nether Realm ends Specter.

Lolita keeps the team together inside a defensible area, while Edith can use the extra life to finish transforming and counterattack.

QUICK ANSWERS
Faramis is currently played mainly in Mid Lane and Roaming. The guide separates the recommended builds by lane or job, so choose that tab before copying the six items.
Start with «Mid Ultimate Tempo». The other options, «Roam Purify Utility» and «Mid Frontline Burn», are there for a different lane or match-up; they are not cosmetic variations.
Hanzo, Estes and Balmond are the first counters to consider. Estes can win the sustain battle without waiting for a second life, while Kaja can pull Faramis away from the position where he needs to protect the team.
2 non-default skins have confirmed availability at this review. 3 more are limited or upcoming, with the original acquisition method recorded. Check the current event or shop in your client before spending.
