Johnson is a Tank / Support hero. They set the terms of each engage, control vision and decide which enemy is allowed near the back line. Its value comes from making the rest of the team stronger.
Open the map for the jungler, check bushes and protect the lane that can turn a small lead into a turret.
Check the minimap before engaging. A good ability with two teammates far away is still a bad fight.
Around Lord and the base, keep at least one tool for the main damage dealer. Engaging while abandoning the back line is not always worth it.
Reference combo: S1 → Wait for Stun → S2 → AA. Practise the order, but do not force it while the target still has an escape.
