Jungle / EXP Lane
IN THE GAME SINCE
January 2017
  1. 01EARLY GAME

Hit both wave and hero with Rotary Impact to advance Beta's mark without taking an unnecessary melee trade.

  2. 02MID GAME

Use Spear of Alpha when Force Swing can follow through several targets. Healing from a crowded area completely changes how long the engage lasts.

  3. 03LATE GAME

Late in the game, do not chase the farthest hero. Chain skills into whoever is in reach to keep Beta active and sustain the recovery.

  1. HOW IT WORKS

Whenever Alpha casts a skill, Beta attacks with him. Enemies hit twice by Beta are marked; when Alpha damages a marked target, Beta follows up with a laser that deals True Damage and briefly slows them.

  2. HOW IT WORKS

Alpha unleashes an energy wave in the target direction, dealing 100–200 Physical Damage to enemies in its path and slowing them by 40% for 1 second. Beta then strafes enemies along the same path, dealing 60–120 True Damage.

  3. HOW IT WORKS

After a short delay, Alpha swings his blade in the target direction, dealing 250–500 Physical Damage to enemies in a fan-shaped area and recovering HP when hitting an enemy, with healing decaying by 40% for subsequent enemies hit. Beta then strafes enemies in the same area, dealing 60–120 True Damage.

  4. HOW IT WORKS

Beta dives into target location, dealing 100–200 Physical Damage to enemies hit and stunning them for 1 second. Alpha then leaps towards the same location, knocking enemies in his path airborne and carrying them to the landing location. Alpha then slams down, dealing 250–500 Physical Damage and slowing the enemies by 40% for 1.5 seconds. Beta then strafes enemies in the same area 5 times, dealing 15–30 True Damage.

Alpha is struggling to convert games in this rank. That does not erase good matchups, but blind-picking the hero is difficult to justify right now.

The questions players ask about Alpha

01What is the best lane for Alpha?+

Alpha is currently played mainly in Jungle and EXP Lane. The guide separates the recommended builds by lane or job, so choose that tab before copying the six items.

02Which Alpha build should I use?+

Start with «EXP Sustain Default». The other options, «Jungle Tempo Bruiser» and «Damage Chase Flex», are there for a different lane or match-up; they are not cosmetic variations.

03Which heroes counter Alpha?+

Benedetta, Hirara and Thamuz are the first counters to consider. Valir keeps Alpha out of reach, while Diggie can free the team from Spear of Alpha's control.

04Which Alpha skins can be obtained now?+

2 non-default skins have confirmed availability at this review. 7 more are limited or upcoming, with the original acquisition method recorded. Check the current event or shop in your client before spending.
