SEASON 41 PROFILE

Astrologer

Esmeralda

TankMageEXP Lane

Esmeralda absorbs shields through Frostmoon Shield and deals both physical and magic damage through Starmoon Casket. She can feel endless into shield-heavy teams, but careless entries are punished quickly by heroes such as Dyrroth or Karrie.

IN THE GAME SINCE
3 April 2019
  1. 01EARLY GAME

Cast Frostmoon Shield before stepping in and hit the wave with Stardust Dance to reduce cooldowns. Do not charge Falling Starmoon in full view when opponents can interrupt it or walk away.

  2. 02MID GAME

Around Turtle, move through multiple shields and keep Stardust Dance active near the objective. If the enemy offers no shields, take shorter trades and wait for Frostmoon Shield to return.

  3. 03LATE GAME

Late in the game, Esmeralda does not have to reach the marksman at any cost. She can drain the front line, absorb protection and open a safer path for the rest of the team.

Abilities at a glance

Hover or use the keyboard on any ability to read exactly what it does in game.Tap any ability to open its in-game explanation. Tap elsewhere to close it.

  1. HOW IT WORKS

Esmeralda manipulates Stardust and Frostmoon: Stardust deals Physical Damage while Frostmoon deals Magic Damage and gives the target a shield equal to 135% of Frostmoon's damage dealt. Each Basic Attack deals 100% Total Physical Attack and 100 Magic Damage. The damage dealt by Esmeralda ignores all shield effects and gradually converts her shield into HP.

  2. HOW IT WORKS

Esmeralda gains a shield and 40% Movement Speed, which decays over 4 seconds. During that time, she gradually converts the shields of nearby enemies into her own shield, up to 50% of her Max HP.

  3. HOW IT WORKS

Esmeralda swings Stardust and Frostmoon, dealing 240–440 Physical Damage and 300–550 Magic Damage to nearby enemies. Each time she damages a hero, Frostmoon Shield's cooldown is reduced by 1.5 seconds; damaging a non-hero unit reduces it by 0.5 seconds. Enemies hit are also slowed by 10% for 1.5 seconds.

  4. HOW IT WORKS

Esmeralda coheres the power of Astrospace into her two weapons - Stardust and Frostmoon. The longer this skill is channeled, the longer the cast range. Use Again: Esmeralda casts the Stardust at the target location, dealing 350–650 Physical Damage, and then blinks to target location and casts Frostmoon, dealing 350–650 Magic Damage and immobilizing enemies in the area for 1 second.
