The Witcher 3 Remastered patch 5.01 is out on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Its fixes include dodges that could respond late and an issue affecting save-file data. CD Projekt RED has also added measures to address saves that may already have been affected.
The notes do not promise that every damaged save can be recovered. This update applies to Remastered, following the release and free upgrade we covered earlier. A separate Switch 2 update is still being developed.
Combat fixes target specific failures
The patch addresses unintended dodge delays and stamina being fully drained when sprinting and dodging together. Automatic blade oils should also stop requiring players to enable the setting again during the current session.
Further fixes cover boats moving uncontrollably, collisions with dead enemies and ladder animations. These are changes to existing behavior, rather than a new content release.

Graphics settings on PC and consoles
Dynamic Resolution Scaling is now off by default on PC. Because that feature changes rendering resolution to adjust the graphics workload, its default can affect image clarity on first launch. The update also fixes cases where the game selected the wrong graphics card or enabled upscaling settings on unsupported hardware.
Consoles gain controls for bloom, light shafts and depth of field. PS5 settings should no longer reset at every launch, and incorrect frame-rate limits on the base console have been addressed. CD Projekt RED lists performance optimizations without publishing before-and-after measurements. Our guide to 1% lows and frame times explains why an average FPS figure alone cannot describe stuttering.

Switch 2 is on a separate schedule
The developer is preparing a Switch 2 update to bring global changes closer to the other versions and improve image clarity and sharpness. More information is promised in the coming days, but no date is given. Patch 5.01 being available elsewhere does not establish that the Switch 2 update has launched.
