Take-Two says PC keeps growing in importance, but that is not a GTA VI PC announcement

Strauss Zelnick has again acknowledged PC's growing role in Take-Two's strategy. Rockstar still lists GTA VI only for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.

A favorable signal is not a release window

Strauss Zelnick has again placed PC inside Take-Two's broader strategy. At the company's annual shareholder meeting, the CEO said it aims to launch on platforms with a meaningful audience and described PC as increasingly important. The comment makes continued PC support likely. It does not announce Grand Theft Auto VI for computers.

Rockstar's official page still lists November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Steam, Epic Games Store, the Rockstar Games Launcher and a later PC window are absent. That product page carries more weight than an interpretation of a general corporate answer.

What Zelnick said and what is still missing

PC Gamer reported Zelnick's answer about platform selection. His argument was straightforward: Take-Two ships where a commercially meaningful audience exists, and PC's role continues to grow. He did not mention a porting team, system requirements, pricing or a GTA VI timeline.

Take-Two's history makes a computer version reasonable to expect. GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 eventually followed their console launches on PC. Their waits differed, however, and cannot turn an expectation into a 2027 or 2028 date. Our guide to waiting for GTA VI on PC or buying a console compares that history without inventing a schedule.

There is no public answer on progress, purchases, online features or creator tools carrying into a possible PC edition either. Buying twice in anticipation of a future transfer remains a gamble.

Waiting for an official listing remains the useful choice

Anyone who already wants a PS5 or Xbox Series console for its library can treat GTA VI as another reason to buy one. PC-only players did not receive a new reason this week to spend hundreds of dollars. Console performance comparisons and a later port remain undocumented.

Rockstar is taking preorders on the announced platforms. Our guide to everything confirmed about GTA VI collects the date, map, characters and editions without mixing in leaks. A PC product page, store listing or Rockstar statement needs to appear before that version can be treated as real.

Zelnick's answer matters because it undercuts the idea that PC is permanently secondary. Its limit matters just as much: this was Take-Two strategy, not a Rockstar announcement. The most likely outcome can still have no public date.
