Forza Horizon 6 launches on PS5 on January 26, 2027 for Standard and Deluxe owners. Premium players can start January 21. That earlier date also brings the first expansion to every platform.
Panic Button is developing the PlayStation version with Playground Games and Turn 10. PlayStation Store preorders for any edition include a Ferrari J50, awarded after the prologue. The game will also have a physical PS5 release through retailers.
Expansion access depends on the edition
Premium includes both expansions alongside additional content. Expansion 1 is also covered by Premium Upgrade and the Expansions Bundle, and will be sold separately. A free content update accompanies the PS5 launch, with details coming later.
The dates refer to different entitlements. January 21 starts PS5 Premium early access and releases the expansion across platforms. Owning the base game does not establish expansion ownership. Our guide to DLC, expansions and season passes explains the purchase distinction.

Cross-play and cross-save are confirmed
Playground says PS5 will support cross-play and cross-save with Xbox and Steam. Players can race together across systems and carry their progress between them. Those are separate features, as our cross-play and cross-progression explainer lays out, and neither gives players a free game license for another storefront.
Community-created events, car designs and builds will be shared across platforms as well. A PS5 player will be able to access the same creations as someone playing elsewhere.

What the graphics announcement establishes
The official trailer runs on a base PS5 in Quality mode, advertised at 4K and 30 FPS. A Performance mode offers 60 FPS. Playground does not specify that mode’s resolution in this announcement, so it does not establish simultaneous 4K and 60 FPS.
