Dave the Diver is getting a free Subnautica 2 crossover DLC in early 2027. Nexon’s announcement sends Dave and Bancho to Proteus, while the Steam DLC page is already open for wishlisting. An exact release date has not been announced.
This is additional content for Dave the Diver, and the store page requires the base game. It is not an announced expansion for players who only own Subnautica 2, nor a free release of the complete Dave game.
Alien ingredients meet Bancho’s kitchen
MINTROCKET keeps its exploration-and-restaurant loop in the new setting. Dave discovers creatures and resources in alien waters, while Bancho finds possibilities for unfamiliar recipes. Nexon also mentions new companions and encounters with Subnautica 2’s enormous leviathans.
The reveal establishes the destination without specifying campaign length, mission count or a console release schedule. Steam is confirmed by the current listing. That does not establish matching dates on platforms the announcement does not name.

Nexon calls it the final planned DLC
The publisher describes the collaboration as Dave the Diver’s final planned DLC. That refers to the additional content being announced, and does not by itself set an end-of-service date for the game.
Our guide to DLC, expansions and season passes explains how a free add-on can still require an existing game license. Here, the relevant ownership requirement is Dave the Diver, rather than a newly announced paid pass.
