AION 2’s global launch is scheduled for October 5, following maintenance that began at 10 p.m. PDT on October 4. NCSoft announced an eight-hour window in its official Steam update, taking the expected completion time to 6 a.m. PDT on October 5.
That is the timetable derived from the maintenance notice. It does not confirm that every server has reopened. Check your chosen server’s latest notice before trying to enter.
The launch maintenance also raises the idle disconnect limit from 30 minutes to three hours and fixes quest objects that failed to respawn.
Free-to-play access after the founders’ head start
The Steam listing identifies AION 2 as free to play. Founder packages offered a five-day head start and benefits including temporary membership. The store does not make buying that earlier access a condition of entering the general launch.
English interface, subtitles and full audio are listed, alongside several other languages.

Published requirements target low settings
The minimum PC specification is 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, a Ryzen 5 2600 or Core i5-10500, 8 GB of RAM and a 4 GB GTX 1050 Ti. NCSoft labels that profile for 1080p at Very Low settings. Its recommended profile uses a Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-11700, 16 GB and an 8 GB RTX 2070 for 1080p at Low settings. The graphics cards’ 4 GB and 8 GB figures refer to video memory, separate from system RAM. Our gaming VRAM guide explains that distinction.
Both require 100 GB of available space and DirectX 12. An SSD is recommended, with no frame-rate guarantee attached. If storage is the obstacle, our guide to TLC and QLC gaming SSDs explains the difference before you choose a replacement.
