October’s PS Plus monthly games are F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. Subscribers can claim them from October 6 through November 2, according to Sony’s announcement. An active membership is required.
September’s claim window closes on October 5. Check your library today if you still want Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life or Chained Echoes before the selection changes.
Two PS5 games and one cross-generation option
F1 25 is the PS5 version, with its Formula 1 championship, Career mode and My Team 2.0 team management. Hunt: Showdown 1896 is also for PS5. Its extraction matches mix monster hunting with rival players, and you can enter alone or with up to two teammates.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 covers PS4 and PS5. Its block-style invasion battles support four-player online co-op and two-player local split screen. It is the October selection’s option for subscribers still using a PS4.

Claim first, download later
On PS5, open PlayStation Plus, choose Benefits and find Monthly Games. On PS4, open the game’s listing and select Add to Library. You can download a claimed game later while your subscription remains active.
Monthly games are included with Essential and the higher tiers. Their access rules differ from Extra and Premium’s rotating catalog, as our guide to keeping PS Plus monthly games explains. Letting your membership lapse locks access until you subscribe again.
Check the PlayStation Plus tier comparison before paying for a higher plan just for these games. Sony notes that availability can vary by region and gives no universal hour for October’s changeover.
