Sony's Black Friday sale on PlayStation Store goes live on Wednesday, November 4. The PlayStation Blog lists the start as midnight PST, which is 3 a.m. Eastern. The sale covers games, expansions and add-ons for PS5, PS4 and PS VR2, with discounts of up to 75%.
That 75% is a ceiling, not the typical markdown. Sony hasn't published per-game prices or percentages and says discounts may vary by region, so the actual price of anything you want won't be visible until the deals go live.
Three dates, and one you might miss
The sale runs in two waves. The first starts November 4, a refresh lands on November 16 at midnight PT, and everything wraps up on November 30 at 11:59 p.m. PT, which is 2:59 a.m. Eastern on December 1.
The easy date to miss is November 20. Sony says certain discounts end that night at 11:59 p.m. PT, well before the sale closes, and some deals will be swapped out for new ones. Each game's product page shows when its price expires. Holding out for the refresh might bring a new deal, but it can also take away the one you were eyeing.

Where to find the full list
Sony's post calls its lineup a preview and points to the store's Black Friday page for the full list. Being on that list guarantees a discount, not a specific price. For a look at what Xbox, Switch 2 and Steam are expected to offer over the same stretch, see our Black Friday 2026 calendar.

No consoles or PS Plus, for now
Sony's announcement is software only. It says nothing about discounts on the PS5 itself, the PS VR2 headset, DualSense controllers or PlayStation Plus memberships, and it doesn't tie these prices to a PS Plus membership. Any hardware deals would have to come in a separate announcement.
Check your storage first
Anything you buy stays in your library even if you don't download it right away, so you can grab a deal without filling your drive. That matters this month because GTA VI launches November 19, and Rockstar's support page says it needs up to 212 GB of free space. If your SSD is already tight, our guide to freeing up space on PS5 without losing your saves walks through it.
And if an impulse buy goes wrong, PlayStation Store only issues refunds under specific conditions, which we cover in how to get a refund for a digital game.
Frequently asked questions
What time does the PlayStation Store Black Friday sale start?
Sony lists the start as midnight PST on Wednesday, November 4. That is 3 a.m. Eastern the same morning.
When does the PlayStation Store Black Friday sale end?
The sale ends November 30 at 11:59 p.m. PT, or 2:59 a.m. Eastern on December 1. Some discounts end earlier, on November 20 at 11:59 p.m. PT, and each game's product page shows its own end date.
What changes on November 16?
Sony refreshes part of the lineup at midnight PT on November 16. New deals arrive and some older ones drop off, so a game discounted in the first week may return to full price.
Is the PS5 console or PS Plus on sale?
Not in this announcement. Sony's November 3 post covers PS5, PS4 and PS VR2 games, expansions and add-ons only, with no mention of consoles, accessories or PlayStation Plus.
Do I need PlayStation Plus to get these Black Friday prices?
Sony's post doesn't tie these discounts to a PS Plus membership, so a PlayStation Network account should be enough. If a game has a separate member price, the store shows it on the product page.
