The Xbox PC edition of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection launches on November 18, 2026 with Xbox Play Anywhere support. Capcom’s Xbox Wire announcement describes play across Xbox Series X|S, Windows 11 PCs and supported handhelds, carrying progress between devices.
The news concerns the Xbox PC edition and its shared-purchase support. It is not the game’s first appearance on PC, nor a promise that a copy from any PC storefront unlocks the console version.
Which purchase travels with you
Xbox Play Anywhere applies to eligible digital purchases through Xbox Store or Windows Store. Sign in with the same Microsoft account on another supported device and the game becomes available without a second purchase.
Capcom says saves, additional content and achievements carry over. A Steam purchase or physical disc does not become an Xbox Play Anywhere license. Shared ownership and saves are also separate from multiplayer across platforms, as our crossplay and cross-progression guide explains.
A turn-based Monster Hunter adventure
Stories 3 focuses on raising monsters and turn-based battles. Habitat Restoration lets players release monsters and alter an ecosystem’s rank. This is a different branch from the action-hunting games, including Monster Hunter Wilds and Ascendance. Content announced for one branch should not be assumed to apply to the other.
Capcom also highlights post-story challenges and the existing Side Story: Rudy add-on. The announcement says that add-on is included with the Deluxe Edition, Premium Deluxe Edition and Deluxe Kit. It does not say every edition includes it.
Try the earlier games October 22–25
Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will offer three-hour timed Xbox trials from October 22 through October 25. Capcom explicitly says a Game Pass membership is not required. This is temporary trial access, rather than a free-to-keep offer.
Stories 3 separately has an Xbox Series X|S trial that carries progress into the full game. November 18 is the announced date for the Xbox PC release. No unlock time is specified in the announcement, so check the store listing before arranging a first session.
