Phoenix Cyclops arrives in Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls on November 2 as the first Year 1 Pass DLC character. Arc System Works’ reveal introduces a transformation that trades temporary power for health depletion in Dark Phoenix form.
Ray Chase voices this version of Scott Summers. Classic and Legacy costumes will also release November 2, providing alternate looks closer to the familiar Cyclops design.
Optic Blasts charge the transformation
Cyclops combines ranged beams, close-range strikes and fire attacks covering broad areas. Using Optic Blasts builds Solar Shards, energy associated with the Phoenix Force. Collecting four allows him to transform into Dark Phoenix.
That form grants a temporary power increase while draining health. Timing therefore matters, although the announcement does not publish an exact duration or damage figures that establish his competitive balance.
Costumes change appearance, while the character adds a different fighting style. Our DLC and season pass guide explains why players should check each purchase’s contents rather than assume a cosmetic includes access to a fighter.

EVO France attendees can try him early
Visitors to EVO France from October 9 through 11 can play Phoenix Cyclops at the game’s booth. That is an in-person event opportunity, rather than a publicly downloadable character demo for all PlayStation accounts.
The announcement also mentions a three-hour PlayStation Plus game trial. Check the storefront for the eligible subscription tier and account requirements, which the announcement does not fully specify.
