A $400 box without a copy of GTA VI
Rockstar has opened pre-orders for The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection. Its US store listing prices the set at $399.99 and states plainly that Grand Theft Auto VI is sold separately. This is a box of physical collectibles, not a copy of the game or an upgrade to one of its playable editions.
Rockstar calls it a Collector’s Box. That name matters when the Standard and Ultimate editions of GTA VI are separate purchases. The merchandise draws on Leonida and Macca the Gator, a character from a fictional Vice City TV show.
What comes in The Goodtime State box
The centerpiece is a six-inch Macca figure with a twist-open storage compartment in its base. There are also black Oakley Frogskins sunglasses with Prizm Sapphire lenses, a customized New Era 9FORTY cap and a Leonida Keys crossbody bag with black-and-pink lining.
A magnetic Macca mirror, Chunkee the Manatee shot glass, Vice City swizzle spoon and razor-blade-shaped keychain fill out the smaller accessories. The box also holds a set of nine enamel pins, nine stickers and a double-sided poster with a map of Leonida on the back. That is 11 types of merchandise, with the pins and stickers each counted as a set.
The actual cost of box plus game
The Standard Edition at PlayStation Store US is $79.99. Buying it alongside the collector's box brings the total to $479.98 before shipping and applicable tax. Pair the box with the $99.99 Ultimate Edition and the total is $499.98. Those are additions of separate list prices, not official bundles.
Rockstar says the box is limited and available to pre-order while supplies last, without stating the production run. It is due November 19, the release date for GTA VI on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but that is not a promise of same-day delivery to every buyer. The store explicitly excludes the box from free shipping, so the final checkout total will be higher than the advertised box price.
