Date, time and access
World of Warcraft: Forever launches globally on November 4, 2026 at 3 p.m. PST. Blizzard confirms access is included with a regular World of Warcraft subscription or game time. It is not a mandatory paid expansion.
The beta runs from September 17 to October 21. Early access is attached to the Skyborne Epic Pack and Warcraft Forever Collection. The Heroic Pack alone does not include beta. Our Modern, Classic and Forever comparison helps choose before paying for extras.
A third permanent home
Forever will coexist with modern WoW and Classic. It returns to the original continents, caps progression at level 60 and takes place after Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom but before Molten Core. It does not freeze 2004. It starts from that Azeroth and creates a separate continuity.
Launch content includes three new zones, more than 1,000 quests, nine dungeons, two raids and the Skyborne race. Later stories and updates will continue its own progression.
What the optional packs sell
Heroic adds the Skyborne race and Zephras Isle start, early name reservation, a mount and cosmetics. Epic adds beta access, 30 days of game time from launch and more friend invitations. The limited collection also includes Warcraft III: Reforged and Forsaken Kingdom.
The practical answer is simple: anyone who only wants Forever can wait until November 4 and enter with a subscription. The packs sell beta access, early name reservation, cosmetics and extra content, not the basic right to play. Forsaken Kingdom is a narrative bridge, but not required homework.
