A new campaign for a 2002 game

Warcraft III: Reforged has received Forsaken Kingdom, the first new Warcraft III campaign in more than 23 years. Blizzard says the story begins in Lordaeron’s ruins, follows Sylvanas and the Forsaken after breaking free from the Scourge, and leads toward the Undercity. It is available now.

The content requires Warcraft III: Reforged. Game Pass includes the base PC game, but not the campaign, so subscribers still need to buy Forsaken Kingdom. A bundle contains both.

A prologue, three chapters and a broader structure

The campaign includes a prologue and three chapters that Blizzard estimates at around 30 hours. It combines traditional real-time strategy missions with broad maps, choices, hero progression and RPG systems. The story also tells the origin of the Forsaken Paladin.

Its narrative job is to bridge Lordaeron’s fall and World of Warcraft: Forever. Those choices prepare the new continuity, although Forever does not require this campaign.

Update 3.0 is free

The release arrives with el parche 3.0 for every Reforged owner. Blizzard rebuilt more than 600 units, while also refreshing structures and environments, raised the selection cap from 12 to 24 units and added the Forsaken Paladin to multiplayer, and refreshed the interface, performance, lighting and World Editor.

The distinction matters: 3.0’s technical improvements do not require Forsaken Kingdom, but the new story does. It is the same split covered in our patch, DLC and expansion guide, applied to a launch combining a free update and paid campaign.
