US price and release date
LEGO and Sony will release a 1,911-piece replica of the original PlayStation for $179.99. It reaches PlayStation Direct and LEGO Insiders early access on October 1, 2026, followed by LEGO.com and LEGO Stores on October 4.
The completed model is 10.5 inches wide and close to the size of the real console. It is a display model with moving details, not working hardware and it cannot read discs.
What moves and comes apart
Power and Open buttons operate, the brick-built controller plugs into the console and two removable dioramas can be displayed separately. Gran Turismo gets a tiny circuit and cars, while Ape Escape gets an island scene with interchangeable red and blue helmet lights.
Those scenes make the set more than a grey shell. Sony is also revisiting its hardware history through products such as the limited GTA 6 DualSense controllers.

A display piece, not a console
The controller recreates the D-pad and original face buttons from the generation before analogue sticks. LEGO has not yet published the full dimensions or an estimated building time.
Early access moves the purchase three days ahead of the October 4 general sale but does not add anything to the box. The set debuted during the September 3 State of Play.
