Lara Croft, now in your pocket. Temple of Osiris hits iOS and Android on September 8

Feral Interactive is bringing Crystal Dynamics' isometric adventure to mobile with four-player co-op, touch or gamepad controls, and a try-before-you-buy model: the first level free and the full game for a single €8.99 payment.

Feral Interactive, the London house that has spent years porting big games to mobile without wrecking them along the way, announced its next move today, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris arrives on iOS and Android on September 8. It's the natural follow-up to its Guardian of Light port, well received in 2025, completing Lara's isometric adventure duo on mobile.

Egypt, angry gods and four-player co-op

Temple of Osiris isn't a standard Tomb Raider, and that's exactly its mobile appeal. It's a fast-paced isometric action adventure where Lara must reunite the Fragments of Osiris to stop Set from enslaving humankind, with undead hordes, Egyptian tombs, grappling, platforming and puzzles built for quick sessions. The raised camera and the combat fit a touchscreen far better than any over-the-shoulder adventure ever could.

The strong suit is the co-op, up to four players, online or on the same wifi, each with their own abilities. And there's no excuse on controls, because Feral promises fully customisable touch controls or support for most Bluetooth gamepads, the same recipe that already worked in its Tomb Raider and GRID Legends ports.

The first level free and the full game for €8.99

The sales model is the house trademark, try before you buy. The download will be free with the complete first level included, and if it wins you over, the full game unlocks with a single €8.99 payment. No ads, no funny currencies, no battle passes, which in 2026's mobile catalogue almost counts as an act of rebellion. Pre-orders and pre-registration open soon on the App Store and Google Play.

The announcement says as much about Feral as it does about Lara. The Londoners have spent three decades specialising in tricky ports, and in recent months alone they've brought Tomb Raider, GRID Legends and Total War: NAPOLEON to mobile, always on the same single-payment model. In a store dominated by free games with "surprises" inside, their catalogue has become something of a seal of quality for people who want complete games on their phone.

Plus, the brand pulls its weight, the Tomb Raider saga has sold over 100 million copies since 1996 across more than twenty games, so every return of Lara to mobile comes with an audience waiting.
