Games with a native upgraded-PSSR integration
Buy a PS5 Pro, open a game's graphics menu and every studio seems to have invented a different name for the pretty mode. Sony has simplified part of that mess with upgraded PSSR, but there are still two paths: direct developer integration and a system override that replaces the old upscaler in compatible games.
Resident Evil Requiem debuted the new model. Sony then collected the first wave of integrations in its March announcement, followed by additions such as Arc Raiders and Doom: The Dark Ages. We will update this guide as more arrive.
Every existing PSSR game that can use the upgraded model
Sony's console override can apply the upgraded model to games built around original PSSR. There is no official master list and results vary. This catalogue combines developer confirmation, technical analysis and the PS5 Pro community's maintained inventory; it excludes games that carry the “PS5 Pro Enhanced” label but use FSR, TSR or a bespoke solution.
We excluded The Outer Worlds 2 because patch 1.0.4 removed PSSR. We also do not count Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, NBA 2K26, Madden NFL 25 and 26, EA College Football 25 and 26 or Isonzo: several lists mention them, but firm PSSR confirmation is missing.

How to enable upgraded PSSR on PS5 Pro
Install the latest system software, then open Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output. Turn on Enhance PSSR Image Quality. The switch affects titles that used the older model; games with a native upgraded integration control it through their patches and graphics modes.
If you see ghosting, unstable foliage or flickering fine detail, return to the same menu and disable the override. Sony acknowledges that results vary. Digital Foundry found clear improvements across many games, but the new model cannot repair every engine-level problem. An upscaler reconstructs data; it cannot invent information the renderer never supplies.
What upgraded PSSR actually improves
The new model handles hair, foliage, particles and thin geometry more consistently in motion. It reduces the flicker and trails that hurt several early PS5 Pro releases. Its core algorithm was developed with AMD through Project Amethyst, although this implementation remains exclusive to Sony's console.
