Tom Henderson goes further and names a date: 6 August, though he himself clarifies it's an educated estimate built on the company's communication patterns, not an internal leak. The honesty is appreciated; it's scarce in this trade.

The date isn't a whim: Take-Two reports earnings on 7 August, and showing the game the day before is the classic playbook for walking into an investor call bragging about pre-orders. The context numbers line up too: the first trailer landed in December 2023, the second in May 2025 — fifteen months ago now — and the game arrives on 19 November, so Rockstar is running out of room for silence.

Rockstar sweeps YouTube before switching on the projector

There's another signal, and this one isn't hearsay: Take-Two is striking down the AI-generated fake GTA 6 trailers piling up on YouTube and social media, videos starring synthetic versions of Jason and Lucia that rack up millions of views. Clearing the shop window right now fits with wanting to premiere official material without background noise. Add the recent changes to Rockstar's website, which the community has spent days dissecting like the Dead Sea Scrolls.

While the trailer arrives, what's confirmed isn't moving: GTA 6 launches on 19 November on PS5 and Xbox Series, with specific enhancements for PS5 Pro, preloading from 12 November and no date for the PC version. The standard edition will cost €79.99 and the Deluxe €99.99. And mind the context, because buying a machine for Vice City is pricier today than a week ago: Xbox raised its prices this very 1 August.
