Confirmed release window and platforms

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 launches in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Bandai Namco has not specified a month, date, price or editions. PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch 2 versions have not been announced.

The official game page presents it as a new experience rather than another Xenoverse 2 expansion. The story jumps to Age 1000, making West City the centre of a future built from Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball world.

Your chosen race affects combat

The custom hero can be a Saiyan, Earthling or another available race. That choice unlocks different answers in battle. Saiyans call on multiple Super Saiyan forms, while Earthlings use Soul Assist to perform a powerful move alongside a familiar ally.

Soul Switch temporarily borrows the power and abilities of fighters including Krillin, Piccolo, Vegeta, Future Trunks and Tien. The footage also shows ki attacks, free flight through the city and fast battles connected to RPG progression.

West City is more than a menu

Players attend West City University and join the Great Saiya Squad. Bulma and Gamma 1 appear alongside newcomers Brett, Lilica, ROM and Tap. The adventure supports solo play as well as online challenges with up to three partners.

Bandai Namco promises a game designed for long-term play, but its structure, monetisation and post-launch plans remain unclear. In the meantime, see Final Fantasy VII Revelation's latest details and our State of Play guide.
