CUKTECH 10 Plus review: a month of travel with two phones

We shared this 15,000 mAh power bank during a month-long trip with two iPhones. Its battery life and reliability earn two thumbs up out of three.

A month away with two iPhones

The CUKTECH 10 Plus earns two thumbs up out of three: very good. We shared it throughout a month-long trip while taking photos, recording video and checking Google Maps intensively. Whenever the phones started running low, it gave us enough backup power to keep going. It never failed us during that month.

We used an iPhone from the 15 generation and an iPhone 13 Pro, usually charging them one at a time. We topped up when needed rather than waiting for an empty battery. Those charges kept our phones going all day and beyond despite the intensive use.

What we value most in a travel power bank is being able to keep using our phones normally. Cameras, video and navigation are part of the trip, and giving them up to save battery feels like a poor compromise. The 10 Plus provided enough backup power for both of us, which is the main reason we liked it so much.

A reserve worth carrying

The nominal 15,000 mAh capacity, equivalent to 54 Wh, feels well suited to sharing backup power between two phones. It also managed a full phone charge from 0 to 100%, although our usual routine involved topping up as needed. We prefer that account of actual use to promising a number of complete charges we did not measure.

Its advertised weight is around 346 grams, with dimensions of 153.7 × 34.8 × 51 mm. For an occasional small top-up to one phone, we would put more emphasis on carrying less weight. For two people traveling together, a reserve that can support both phones matters more to us. After this month, we think the balance between carrying it and benefiting from it is a good one.

We like the design too. The silver finish and black front look thoughtfully put together, and the elongated shape is more appealing to us than a plain box with a charge indicator. Our photo from the editorial office shows the unit beside its pouch.

Dividing the power bank’s nominal capacity by a phone battery’s capacity does not establish the number of charges. Energy is lost during transfer, and a phone can keep consuming power while charging. Our guide to charging an iPhone to 80% or 100% helps you choose a starting charge level based on the battery life you need.

Useful shared connections and a sensible display

The two USB-C ports and one USB-A port on the CUKTECH 10 Plus, model PB150P, strike us as a practical combination for a shared power bank. We usually took turns, but it can charge multiple devices simultaneously. That option is useful if, for example, both people need to top up before heading out again.

We also like the idea behind the color TFT display. A battery percentage provides a more precise indication of remaining reserve than a row of lights, while power information lets you check charging activity. For our use, remaining power bank charge is the more valuable figure. When two people rely on one battery, that information interests us more than chasing the highest wattage.

The advertised output needs some context. The main port supports up to 70 W in its fixed charging profile, and the manufacturer advertises a 120 W maximum through specific compatible modes. The iPhones receive the power they support, so those maximum figures do not describe their charging speed. Input to recharge the power bank reaches 100 W with a suitable charger and cable.

We appreciate the scope for other devices, but our recommendation comes from how it supported our phones. If laptop charging is your priority, check compatibility and the power your computer would receive through the port you intend to use. Our test focused on the two iPhones.

Two thumbs up, and a place on our next trip

Our impression of the CUKTECH 10 Plus is very positive. Over a month it kept us taking photos, recording video and following routes when the phones needed more battery, without failing us. That is exactly what we wanted from a travel power bank.

We give it two thumbs up out of three because it is very good for two people sharing backup power while using their phones heavily. Consider its weight if you want something to keep in a pocket for a small top-up. For the way we used it, we prefer having that extra reserve and would bring it on our next trip.
