Humalike wants GTA RP NPCs to remember what you did. What about GTA VI?

Humalike says its FiveM tool lets characters remember players and share information. It is built for GTA RP. Nothing like it has been announced for GTA VI.

According to Humalike, a witness on a GTA roleplay server could remember seeing you draw a gun and later tell another character. This is not a Rockstar-written mission or a revealed GTA VI feature. The company offers a tool for FiveM, the PC-based GTA V roleplay platform, that gives server owners voiced characters with persistent relationships and reactions to in-game events.

That distinction matters whenever a convincing NPC demo gets attached to GTA VI. Humalike offers a working experiment in what a city might gain from inhabitants with memory. It also exposes the questions a publisher would have to answer before putting such characters into a major commercial game.

Memory matters more than a longer conversation

On Humalike's FiveM product page, server owners install a resource and configure each character's identity, backstory, knowledge, voice and behavior. Some hold down a store or hospital. Others move through the world. The system can receive signals about clothing, masks, weapons, gunfire and server events, then use them to decide how a character responds and what they disclose.

The striking prospect is not a shopkeeper who talks for longer. A witness to a robbery might remember the player, and a connected group could change its attitude after hearing what happened. Humalike describes AI patients for medical roleplay, informants and guides for newcomers. Those are the company's use cases, not missions we have played or independently tested.

An NPC needs more than a chatbot

The software has to notice a game event, connect it to the right player and character, decide whether to speak and produce a response that fits the scene. Humalike describes a behavioral layer built around social memory, event awareness and group dynamics. A generated line can sound fluent yet break the roleplay by exposing a secret, forgetting a crime or interrupting a moment that should be quiet.

The short demo does not establish the cost of running a busy city. Humalike's GTA RP plans are listed at $79 a month for 25,000 interactions and $119 for 50,000, with the first 1,000 free. Voice and text processing involves outside services. Its sub-processor list names speech transcription, voice synthesis and model providers. A server owner would need to explain data handling to players, moderate generated replies and measure latency under load.

A GTA V server is not a GTA VI roadmap

Humalike says its characters are already running on Poland's Strefa RP server, where it reports more than 250,000 conversation turns in three weeks. That is a company figure, not an independent assessment of dialogue quality or performance. It does, however, describe a product that other server owners can request access to rather than merely a concept video.

FiveM currently supports GTA V Legacy on PC. Rockstar lists GTA VI for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar's ownership of the FiveM team does not turn every community resource into a feature of its next game. Neither GTA VI support for FiveM nor a Humalike integration has been announced.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick also told GamesIndustry.biz in February 2026 that generative AI had no part in what Rockstar was building for GTA VI. That statement concerns the game then in development, not every service the company might release years later. It rules out treating this mod as a preview of launch content. Our piece on GTA VI patents covering NPC motion and traffic deals with different technologies: animation and pathfinding are not generative conversation.

The more interesting question comes after launch

In a written campaign, an NPC's memory might enrich a side scene, but an improvised reply could also contradict a mission or spoil a reveal. A community roleplay server has more room to experiment, and a character who recognizes returning players might keep a city active when fewer people are online. That makes RP a plausible first home for the idea, rather than Jason and Lucia's authored story. It is our inference, not a Rockstar roadmap.

Could Rockstar eventually allow GTA VI roleplay servers to use tools like this? If an artificial witness remembers a crime, who decides when it can speak, how long that memory lasts and what happens when it gets the story wrong? Would players choose a city that can improvise, or one where every important scene remains carefully written? For now, our guide to confirmed GTA VI details is the safer place to check what the game actually includes.
