Eight games leave Game Pass October 31: member prices and how to keep your saves

Eight games leave Xbox Game Pass on October 31, 2026, across console, PC and cloud: Day of the Tentacle Remastered, Dead Static Drive, Deep Rock Galactic, Full Throttle Remastered, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Wartales and Wildgate. All eight sit in the official "Leaving soon" list of the Game Pass catalog, and Pure Xbox reports the October 31 date shown in the Xbox mobile app.

Until October 31, your subscription covers them as usual. Xbox's Game Pass FAQ says access lasts until a game leaves the library, and keeping it installed doesn't extend that. If you're partway through one, you can finish it before then or buy it. Seven of the eight have a discounted member price.

Platforms and prices

Prices come from the US Xbox Store on October 20. The Member column shows the 20% discount each listing ties to Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

Console and PC versions appear in the official catalog, while cloud access comes from the app listing Pure Xbox published. Wildgate is the only one without an Xbox One version. The store pages for Wartales and Wildgate also show both as part of Game Pass Premium, so Premium subscribers lose them too.

Your plan may not get the discount. In October 2025, Microsoft replaced most Game Pass purchase discounts with Microsoft Rewards points and kept 20% off for Ultimate members on select library games, TechRadar reported. Sign in and check the price on the listing before you pay.

Two sales beat the member price

Deep Rock Galactic and Temple of Osiris are on sale for everyone, subscriber or not, at far more than 20% off. Deep Rock Galactic, a co-op shooter about space miners for up to four players, costs $8.99 until 2:59 a.m. PT on October 28. That is $15 less than its $23.99 member price.

Temple of Osiris is $1.99 until 4:59 p.m. PT on October 21, compared with $15.99 at the member discount. When those sales end, on October 21 for Temple of Osiris and October 28 for Deep Rock Galactic, the member price is again the lowest the Xbox Store offers for either game.

Buying without losing your progress

Buying a game you played through Game Pass doesn't reset it, because saves belong to your Xbox account and the game rather than to the subscription. The system writes progress to the device and syncs it to Xbox servers when you're online, so you can pick up on another supported device, as Microsoft's developer documentation explains. Buy the same version on the same account and the game finds that save when it starts.

1. Launch the game online before October 31 so your latest save syncs. 2. Buy it on the same account from its Xbox Store page. 3. On PC, check the store page before switching machines. Six of the eight list Xbox cloud saves. LEGO Star Wars and Temple of Osiris don't, so keep playing on the PC that holds your save. 4. Seven are Xbox Play Anywhere titles, so one purchase covers both Xbox and Windows PC. Temple of Osiris isn't, so buy it for the platform you play on.

If you stream, Xbox's monthly cloud gaming hour caps start in November, after these games are gone, so they won't cut into a final push before the 31st.
