Edge of Memories arrives in November with a plague that changes places you have already explored

Midgar Studio’s action RPG is coming to PS5, Xbox Series and PC. Its heroine fights with the same power that is consuming the continent of Avaris.

A familiar route may not stay familiar

Edge of Memories launches November 5, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Developed by Midgar Studio and published by Nacon, the action RPG sends players across a continent being transformed by Corrosion. The disease does more than create enemies: places visited earlier in the story can change and reveal new routes.

That detail in the official game description gives exploration a reason to revisit familiar ground. How rewarding those return trips actually feel remains untested here.

Eline discovers she can control the Corrosion inside her own body. Alongside her are the unlikely mentor Ysoris and Kanta, a shaman prince. Her powers connect the central threat to the way she fights it, rather than leaving the disease entirely in the background.

An action RPG with a feline ride

Battles take place in real time, combining fast attacks, heavier techniques and companion skills. Nacon also describes a Berserker transformation that lets Eline unleash powerful blows. The emphasis is on combining actions with help from the party.

A Nekaroo mount carries the group through Avaris and helps reach otherwise inaccessible areas. The announced locations include the port city of Sarlah-Durah and the Kezal Mountains. Japanese animation informs the look, while the developer is the French team behind Edge of Eternity.

The soundtrack includes composer Cédric Menendez and vocalist Emi Evans, with a final theme by Yasunori Mitsuda.

What to check before November

Steam lists English and Japanese voice acting, alongside several subtitle languages. Its PC requirements still carry a warning that they may change before launch, so players with hardware near the minimum should check again before buying.

Our Xbox Tokyo Game Show roundup covers the wider presentation. For something to play before launch, our PS5 and PC RPG selection offers a range of role-playing adventures.
